How to check the status of hardware security

To check the software protection for Camsoft CNC products with the green USB security dongle, the Camsoft Winmove program may be used. The Winmove program can be used to check the status of software protection and aid in software protection troubleshooting.

• Launch the c:\as3000\ram\winmove.exe program by using Windows file explorer
  
• In the WinMove dialog enter 2 for CNC Professional then click on the OK button to continue
  

• In the Camsoft Security dialog click on the Check Security radio box then click on the green checkmark button to continue
  

• The Security Message dialog will report the current status of software protection.
  

The Security Message can be used to confirm that the software protection is active. Other messages can be useful in determining any issues with software protection.

• The Security Error: Key Not found
  

This message usually occurs when the Security USB dongle is not attached to a PC USB port. The simplest solution for this is to plug in the USB dongle into a USB port on the PC. There can be more complex issues with Windows drivers that require technical support.
